Course content
The Course covers the following Emergency First Aid issues and procedures:
- Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Be able to assess an incident
- Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
- Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
- Know how to recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
- Be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding
- Be able to manage a casualty who is in shock
- Be able to manage a casualty with a minor injury
Emergency First Aid At Work (EFAW)
A Qualification achieved through a 1-day course that enables a first-aider to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill at work.
Who should attend?
The course is designed for working environments that have a minimum amount of hazards along with a low number of employees.
Aims of the course
Attendees will gain under-pinning knowledge and practical experience of the above. The learner will demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills in order to perform basic life support should the need arise.Related Courses
