First Aid At Work (3 Days) FAW (QCF)

The recommended course duration is 3 days and topics covered include: the roles and responsibilities of the First Aider; assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness, chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis.

Who should attend?
This is a 3-day intense programme covering all aspects of First Aid. This course is suitable for candidates required by employers to have First Aid status in their workplace role. The certificate will be valid for 3 years.

Aims of the course
By the end of this course, the candidate will be competent in delivering all aspects of First Aid.

Course assessment
The qualification is assessed via on-going oral and/or written questioning and practical demonstration. All successful students will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualification which is valid for a period of 3 years.
